Thanksgiving Food Drive - Lake Cities UMC

The next two months, we are holding a Thanksgiving Food Drive for hundreds of hungry people in Lake Dallas, Texas. All donations received will be donated to Lake Cities United Methodist Church's food pantry.

Lake Cities UMC believes that as a church they are called to service in their community and beyond. Without the help of this wonderful church, and their food pantry, many hungry people in our neighborhood would go without food. The food pantry provides basic food and hygiene items to our neighbors in need in the Lake Cities area.

DropOffLocations

While this food pantry provides for people every day, there is a higher need and demand around Thanksgiving time. Many times while we're enjoying a home-cooked, delicious meal with our family and friends, we often forget about people who struggle to put food on the table on a daily basis.

We want to provide Thanksgiving dinners for as many people as we can, so we're asking all of you to participate in our food drive and drop off non-perishable food items at our office location:

3572 FM 2181 Hickory Creek, TX 75065

Or at Lake Cities UMC food pantry located at:
300 E. Hundley Drive Lake Dallas, TX 75065

Most needed items are: Cereal, rice, beans, mac n cheese, hamburger helper, peanut butter, jelly, spaghetti and sauce

If you are in need of food items, please contact the food pantry at 940-32-6100. The pantry serves clients on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and the second and fourth Thursday evenings of each month from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Clients can visit once a month and receive four bags of non-perishable food items as well as fresh milk, eggs, bread, and meat as is available.

We also want to remind all of our wonderful clients, family and friends that if they refer a friend to our agency, we will donate $10 on your behalf to the food pantry!

Our team at Mark Tucker Insurance sincerely appreciates your support in helping provide Thanksgiving dinner to those in need throughout Lake Dallas, Corinth, Hickory Creek and Shady Shores.
